Hi Everyone,
Well.. I thought I'd quickly update u on what's happening. I got 3 assignments done this weekend which is cool. Thing is I need to keep up the pace- hmmm, I need lots of discipline!
This week I am on the radio- I help out with the local station every other Wednesday night which is pretty cool- I'm hoping to feature the band Stereophonics in the next few weeks. It's really good fun, just like having a chat with someone (there's always at least one other person with me). On Thursday I play basketball in a local league- we haven't won as yet but we always have fun!
We have started something called Gestalt today which seems ver interseting..more laters

Hi Guys!

Thought I'd quickly write something on this blog! Well, another week has gone by- lots of lectures on the book of Mark, Attaching Detached Youth (sounds painful) networking and a book called Pedagogy of the Oppressed!
It was another full on week but a good one! Had a great weekend of writing assignments- got 3 done- weh hey- only a few more to go- hurray!
I was also asked to do the children's talk at Church which I was pretty nervous about
but once I got up there I really enjoyed- thank you God!

Here I am! My very first blog! Welcome! I'm glad u've made it this far!
I thought I might try out some of the functions of this blog so that is why the bullet points have appeared- not because I'm mkaing a list of things to do!
The reason I've started this blog is because I think it may be an easier and morer interactive way of keeping in touch with friends from the Uk and around Oz- so if u read it and want to reply/make a comment on what I've written then please do. Emailing sometimes seems such an effort and I feel obliged to write huge, long epistles about what i've been doing lately. Hopefully this'll be a way of writing short notes/random thoughts home and also sending u some visuals- some photos etc!
I am having lots of thoughts recently about what the next steps are for me- what God wants for me and have lots of feelings which I really need to journal and let God sort out for me. Please could u pray that I would be able to hear God's voice in all of this? At the beginning of the course I knew this was where God had been leading me and was enthusiastic and passionate about what i was doing and felt fully alive. Lately I seem to have lost some of this and some of my direction, tho' caught a glimpse of it yesterday in a lecture about what it means to be blessed by God. Apparently it means to "go straight" with God; to be blessed means to be moving with God. We watched Chariots of Fire to demonstrate that the main character, Eric Liddell, was "called" to run fjor God- he siad he could "feel God's pleasure"when he ran- I want to feel God's pleasure in what I'm doing! How amazing to know that you are doing what you've been created to do and are fulfilling ur God given purpose in doing it!- At this critical and deep point I have to get ready for a birthday party- but i will write more in the next few days!
